We have just finished the development of our revolutionary shank button attachment. This enables machine attachment of virtually any type of shank button. This attachment can be fitted in seconds to any Juki 373 / MB1800 (or similar)  machine. 

The linear motion of the clamp means that most shank buttons can be held. Previously many shank buttons had to be hand sewn due to the problems holding them in the machine.

Due to the height of the loop formation when sewing shank buttons only chainstitch sewing is successfull however when this is combined with Ascolite shank wrapping the attachment is as, if not more, secure than lockstitch. For this reason many manufacturers are now specifying chainstitch together with Ascolite.

The alternative to this type of attachment has previously been handsewing which is inconsistent and therefore unreliable in terms of security as well as being extremely expensive and time consuming.
